Can nodes
CAN Nodes
Three CAN nodes extend the CAN bus to any part of the cabinet or machine. Measuring a compact 10 cm x 6 cm, these units are designed for rapid installation through the use of pluggable, screw terminal connections. Each node has unique on-board functions (see chart).
The nodes support CAN 2.0B protocol specification for use in compatible third party CAN networks. When used with Labod CNCs, the on-board firmware allows the receive id filter to be automatically assigned, as each node is added in a stepwise fashion to the bus. This continues our principal of fast, simple machine installation.
The hardware resources of each node are extended through the use of sub-nodes. It is possible to plug up to 8 sub-nodes onto a CAN node. The sub-nodes have been selected to offer the machine builder maximum flexibility in terms of servicing machine demands. A full range of logic, analog and incremental encoder functions are offered.
The MUCAN3.1 node implements a CAN bridge. We use it to interface between buses operatng with different characteristics (baud rates for example) or to isolate particularly long cable runs, so that throughput is not degraded.
We have built a strong technical competance in the use of the CAN bus. Join our customer network to-day, to receive a robust, flexible response to all your machine networking requirements.
